Text Box: My Business Modeling Vision

TeamsWin Information Heavylifting is the result of my business modeling vision. Business modeling is my business, and as far as I know my approach compares with no other approach. Relying on available information organization, it is extremely simple and inexpensive to create.

My first business model - In 1975- 1976 while attending Pacific Lutheran University (PLU), Navigating C141 aircraft for the USAF Reserve, and spending considerable time with my uncle discussing the future,  I was developing a chart of accounts for group medical practices. My business modeling vision first began to develop when I saw those accounts as line items on financial reports with definitions that began to show me business relationships or a business model.

My business modeling Vision - My uncle often used the word "Vision". In fact he said his personal Vision was to get his teams to develop and share a common vision. For example, even though team members participated in creating the vision, only one person owned it. Only one person had the authority and responsibility to  call it his Vision. Being a navigator,  I began to see how people could build a strategic business model, share vision, and navigate from decision to decision.

Navigating with a business model -  A navigator is  trained in a special  decision making process. It is special because the decision maker is also the information collector. To do this he uses information heavylifting. He builds the strategic plan and executes it with tactical adjustments.

Since that time all my education and experience has focused on my Vision. The result is what we at TeamsWin call “Information Heavylifting” and "Power Measurement" -- a thinking tool, a system and a service that  will help anyone do anything.

Before relational databases I used a minicomputer and Mark IV with the mainframe computer. With my first relational database I created the schedule for a softball league on my Commodore 64 in 1983. Soon after that I began using the first version of Access and have used it in every project since that time.

RDP Other Models

Besides business models, I build models for my other interests. These are also thinking tools used for power (faith) measurement.

RDP Projects - General Business Model

My General Business Model is a survey of the subjects taught in business schools organized by my Pace TeamsWin General Business Model thinking tool. Like all my models, there is a diagram, identity and dictionary definition. Like all models, It can be used for many purposes. Probably the most powerful use is as an architecture for business intelligence. It defines the information requirements for business decisions, and when it is used to structure the definitions of a specific business, it can supply the information for those decisions.

RDP Projects - Bible Model

All my models have diagrams, identifiers, and dictionary definitions. My Bible Model is a function of the identifiers or names in  the Strong's Concordence. I simply recorded the names that appeared more than one place in the Bible. Then I eliminated the names that were for more than one entity. This simple process produced a list of no more than 100 places and people. I organized the people on a time line by their birth day. The result was a neat little 13 dot timeline, each dot representing 500 years. I organized the places on a map. But, first I needed to build an abstract map. My map ilooks out from from Jerusalem . When you look out, things closer are large scale and things farther away are small scale.  The diagrams of my Pace TeamsWin Bible Model use Adobe Acrobat that can be read by Adobe Reader. Anyone can go into the model and drill down from the time line or map to see views of the 100 people and places over 6,000 years. I brought in the dictiionary definitions of the people and places, and associated the people and places. In other words, the stories of the people and places are located on the map.

RDP Projects - Gospel Model

My Gospel Model focuses on the teamwork required to live by faith. In the 1,000 year old Church Calendar, one half is focused on getting from Death into Life, and the other half is focused on what to do in Life. My Gospel Model is focused on the teamwork required to live that Life.  Gospel is the meaning of the Bible in a nutshell. The Bible provides the logos word of God so we can live the rhema word of God. The Bible is a model for our personal relationships with God and his people. Before time began, God gave us all a subject or calling or purpose or destiny we can use to talk to him. By itself, that calling is meaningless. God designed the requirement for teamwork. He organized our callings so we have to do businss with each other. For our gifts to shine, we have to team up expose our strengths and hide our weaknesses.

RDP Projects - Church History Model

God is building his Church. It is not perfect, but it is being perfected. Confidence in that process comes from studying Church history. It is his story.

RDP Projects - World History Model

Some people are not happy about God and his building project. For example, he and his people are coming back to the West Bank. He is using his project to get attention and draw people to himself. Confidence in that process comes from studying World history. It is his story.

RDP Projects - Church Work Model

One of these days, the Church will have to be organized. Like with our constitution, the power of that organization will be limited. It will have to be organized for protection. That protection will require a central working model. That organization will make it possible for people from different countries and languages to work together for freedom.

RDP Projects - Church Worship Model

One of these days, the church will have one model of worship. Like our constitution, the power of that order will be limited.  In other words, it will be organized so people will feel at home when they visit other churches. Like our constitution, there will be freedom within that structure. There will be room develop a local church personality. For example: language and style will be local, but visitors will recognize enough of the order  to feel at home so they can freely worship.

RDP Projects - Ski Racing Model

Because of my interest in measuring power, I have applied my techniques to all my sports including skiing and softball. No matter the sport, there are basic athletic positions and movements that can be perfected for speed and power. Modeling tools define, identify, diagram and apply those to each sport.

RDP Projects - Fastpitch Hitting Model
